Merch Aid x AAPI Women Lead

Art created for Merch Aid, with t-shirt and print proceeds going to AAPI Women Lead. Amidst all the grief and rage within the Asian American community, I found some solace in creating a personal ancestral shrine with items from my Taiwanese upbringing as offerings. These shrines are sacred areas, be it a temple or just a small spot at home, to pay respect to our ancestors and elders, as well as a chance to ask for guidance. During moments of intense social unrest and racial trauma, these items remind me of my roots, my family, those who have gone before me, and the infinite possibilities of the Asian American identity.

Shrine items include: moon blocks, a vase with a flower, incense holder, wax apples, and Chiate pineapple cakes.
